Junior Business Intelligence Data Analyst-015-002

We are seeking a Junior Business Intelligence Data Analyst to join our dynamic BI team within the Perishable Products Export Control Board. The successful candidate will play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights, supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Job Requirements

• Minimum qualification of a National Diploma in Information Technology or related field
• Diploma in Business Analysis or IIBA certification (Desirable)
• Data Governance certificate/course (Desirable)
• Knowledge of data integrity checking in the development life cycle
• Minimum 1-3 years' experience in:
  • Data analysis & report development
  • Experience in using Data visualisation tools
  • Experience in writing T-SQL queries 
  • Experience in using relational databases
  • Experience in data warehousing star schema methodology
  • Experience in requirement elicitation and documentation
  • Experience in issue resolution
  • Experience in data profiling

• Analyze and interpret data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and other data repositories.
• Develop and maintain data models, ensuring accurate and efficient data processing.
• Create meaningful visualizations and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business teams to understand their data needs and provide tailored analytics solutions.
• Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation processes.
• Assist in the development and implementation of data-driven strategies and initiatives.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and business intelligence.
• Provide support and training to end users on data analytics tools and techniques.
• Work closely with the IT team to optimize data infrastructure and systems.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data processes and workflows.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including SQL, Excel, and data visualization software.
• Knowledge of data modeling and database management concepts.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms is preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to understand and interpret business requirements and translate them into actionable data insights.
• Familiarity with data governance and privacy regulations is an asset.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
• 0-2 years of experience in a similar role or relevant internship experience.
