Department Overview
The marketing department is responsible for creating best-in-class marketing campaigns that maintain and grow our customer base. Increasing brand awareness to acquire new customers and engaging our existing customer base to increase LTV, our award-winning marketing department consists of four teams: brand marketing, brand partnership marketing, content and paid media.
Role Overview
The Social Media Manager (TikTok) is responsible for creating and overseeing the implementation of the global organic social media strategy for TikTok and creating best-in-class, audience-centric, innovative content that drives Space NK awareness and appeal.
The role is responsible for managing the day-to-day workload and development of a team of two.
Key Responsibilities:
• Be the internal organic TikTok expert; know everything about our audience on the platform, what content performs best, what doesn’t work and what the next big thing is.
• Develop, implement and evolve an audience-based global organic social strategy for TikTok based on audience insights, business objectives and channel KPIs.
• Create and execute a calendar of best-in-class social media activity for Space NK’s TikTok channel that aligns with marketing moments, customer mindset and trading priorities, dedicated to engaging our audiences on TikTok.
• Project manage all organic social media activity on TikTok including asset briefing, asset creation, sign off and scheduling, ensuring delivery in line with critical paths.
• Where relevant for activity, work with the wider marketing department and PR team to propose, select and manage creator content to feature on Space NK’s TikTok.
• Where relevant for activity, propose, select and manage agency partners to create best-in-class social media content.
• Clearly communicate key plans, timelines and updates to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring marketing, commercial, retail and brand partners are aware of activity and key timelines.
• Forecast and report against business objectives on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, using the TikTok platform and internal reporting sources, translating data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Budget management of relevant cost lines, ensuring spend is in line with plan, accurately tracked and invoices paid.
• Effectively line manage and develop a team of two.
• Keep up to date on the latest innovations, trends and updates within TikTok, proposing new ideas and opportunities that relate to business objectives.
About You:
You are a creative, commercially minded and adaptable person with a real passion for social media marketing. You are excited by the opportunity to create and deliver best-in-class social media campaigns across TikTok.
What we're looking for:
· Deep understanding & passion for TikTok, with proven experience in managing and growing a TikTok presence for a brand
· Excellent copywriting and communication skills
· Highly creative with a strong eye for visual storytelling
· Experience with social media management tools
· Experience of line managing and developing a direct report
· Strong analytical & numerical skills with familiarity using analytics platforms.
· Ability to stay ahead of digital trends and platform updates.
· The ability to prioritise, use initiative and perform under pressure
· High attention to detail.
· Excellent time management
· A problem-solving approach
· Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate, collaborate and influence effectively at all levels of the business
