About this role

Responsible for full life cycle recruiting for Corporate, Engineering/Technical and IT roles. The Senior Recruiter will work as part of the Talent Acquisition team in an environment that is fast-paced, proactive, and requires the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple business functions. This individual will be responsible for utilizing effective storyboarding techniques that demonstrate a strong understanding of the business, technology, and people to position Nabors as an “employer of choice,” while acting as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and business leaders.

  • Source and interact with qualified candidates across Corporate, Engineering/Technical, IT, and administrative roles, including senior and director-level positions.
  • Identifies and cultivates non-traditional sources for recruitment.
  • Ensure qualified candidates are hired to fill vacancies; cooperates with internal efforts to offer advancement to existing employees before bringing in new hires for vacated or new positions.
  • Identify high-caliber candidates from inside and outside the drilling industry including the day to day use of job boards, resume databases, contacts, and referrals from company career page.
  • Investigate and lend new ideas for developing new sources of candidates from all domains and regions.
  • Execute full-cycle recruitment and placement programs while independently managing requisition volume, prioritization, and hiring manager expectations.
  • Develops and maintains candidate profiles and behavioral interview questionnaires based on vacancy competency requirements.
  • Complete interview assessments and offer strong hiring recommendations, exercising sound judgment to enable filling of positions effectively and efficiently.
  • Screen, evaluate and provide orientation of job requirements and company benefits for area of assignment.
  • Extend employment offers and ensures compliance with physical, drug and alcohol, background check, and pre-employment training protocols for various work locations.
  • Maintain an active applicant flow tracking of candidates throughout the recruitment process using HRIS system and other databases as required.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining tracking systems and databases with open requisitions, applicants and new hires.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to set expectations, provide market insight, and guide decision-making throughout the hiring process.
  • Identifies opportunities for promotion of employer brand.
  • Travel to locations as needed to represent the company in a recruitment capacity.
  • Assist with processing new hires and current employee documents as needed.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as requested by management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, International Business, Business Administration, or equivalent experience in the human resources field.
  • Substantial operations/industry experience may substitute for the above education requirement.
  • 5+ years of multi-location, full-cycle recruiting experience supporting corporate and technical roles.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience recruiting corporate, administrative, engineering, and/or IT roles in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Proficiency in online recruiting tools and applicant tracking systems.
  • Strong interviewing and assessment skills with the ability to discern overall candidate qualifications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, organizational, and influencing skills with a high level of professionalism and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage work with minimal oversight.
  • Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Skilled in the use of database management, word processing, spreadsheet, and/or presentation software.

Preferred

  • Human resources or recruiting experience in a foreign jurisdiction with ability to effectively establish verbal communications with foreign applicants.
  • Previous experience using Oracle Recruiting Cloud / Oracle Fusion.
  • Prior experience working in oil & gas.
  • Master’s degree.
