 POSITION SUMMARY The CLM, RFP, and Contracts Manager will lead contract content governance and the end-to-end Request for Proposal (RFP) process. This role is responsible for managing Clearwater Security’s CLM clause library, contract templates, workflows, and governance processes while also owning the development, coordination, and submission of competitive, compliant RFP responses across our security services portfolio. 

This position serves as a critical bridge between Legal, Sales, Finance, Technical, and Operations teams, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and efficiency across contracting and proposal activities. In addition to  these resposibilities, the role will also help support drafting and negotiation of client contracts and  Statements of Work (SOWs) as time permits. The CLM, RFP, and Contracts Manager plays a key role in  advancing contracting automation, documentation standards, and data governance in alignment with  Clearwater Security’s risk posture, compliance requirements, and operational objectives. 



    

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

CLM & Contract Content Management

  • Maintain, standardize, and govern contract templates, clause libraries, and associated documentation to ensure consistency,    scalability, risk mitigation, and compliance.
  • Manage version control and day-to-day maintenance of contracting content across business lines.
  • Support the configuration maintenance and enhancements for CLM workflows in alignment with defined legal, operational, and      compliance requirements.
  • Support contracting technology initiatives, including system configuration, testing, rollout, integrations, and ongoing      optimization.
  • Assist with integrations between CLM tools and systems such as Salesforce, DocuSign, NetSuite, and other business applications.
  • Identify contracting workflow inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
  • Support change management activities, including user documentation, training materials, and system adoption support.
  • Coordinate with Finance to ensure contract terms align with revenue recognition requirements and payment structures.
  • Support automation initiatives and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled features, to improve contracting efficiency and data quality.

  

RFP Management 

· Serve as the primary owner of the RFP process from intake through final submission.

  • Review RFP requirements, evaluate opportunity fit, and create proposal development timelines and action plans.
  • Facilitate internal strategy discussions to align proposals with business goals and competitive positioning.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs), leadership, operations, compliance, legal, and finance to gather accurate and complete content using the CLM clause library as the source of truth.
  • Draft, edit, and format proposal sections including executive summaries, technical solutions, methodologies, company      background, staffing plans, and pricing narratives.
  • Ensure strict compliance with RFP requirements, certifications, and submission instructions.
  • Manage version control and perform rigorous quality control, proofreading, and consistency checks.
  • Oversee timely digital and/or hardcopy submissions according to RFP specifications.
  • Maintain an internal knowledge base of proposal content, templates, qualifications, and marketing materials, ensuring      alignment between proposal language and contract clause library language.


Requirements

  

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications,   English, Legal Studies, or a related field; equivalent experience      considered.
  • Demonstrated experience managing or supporting CLM  systems, RFPs, proposals, contracting operations, or legal operations.
  • 3+ years of experience in contract management, RFP management, proposal development, or similar roles.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex requirements clearly to diverse      stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to interpret complex technical, legal,and operational requirements and translate them into structured,     persuasive content.
  • Hands-on experience with CLM platforms, contract      templates, clause libraries, Salesforce, DocuSign, CPQ tools, or similar      systems.
  • Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, or process improvements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively across Legal, Sales, Finance, Technical, and Operations teams.
  • Familiarity with AI tools is a plus, with interest in applying them to contracting and proposal workflows.

  

  

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, & KNOWLEDGE

  • Experience in security, technology, SaaS, or professional services environments preferred.
  • Understanding of regulatory, compliance, and security considerations related to contracting and proposals.
  • Prior experience with the creation of RFP’s and/or experience with the overall RFP process
  • Strong document management, records management, and governance skills.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and  accountability.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe PDFtools, and collaborative work platforms.

The base salary range for this role is $_100,000__________ to $____110,000_______. Base salary is part of our total rewards package which also includes the opportunity for merit-based salary increases, eligibility for our 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances and leaves provided in line with your work state. Our robust time-off policy includes flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays, and paid sick time. Total compensation, including base salary to be offered, will depend on elements unique to each candidate, including applicable candidate experience, skills, education and other factors permitted by law.
