Lead Financial Operations for a High-Performing Automotive Group
Larson Automotive Group is seeking a results-driven Automotive Controller to lead accounting operations across multiple dealerships. This is a senior leadership role designed for an experienced automotive accounting professional who thrives on challenge, values precision, and knows how to build strong, motivated teams.

Important: Candidates must have prior experience as an Automotive Controller or Automotive Accounting Manager in a retail dealership environment. Multi-store experience is strongly preferred. This requirement is non-negotiable.What You’ll Do
- Lead Multi-Store Financial Operations – Oversee full accounting functions across multiple rooftops
- Deliver Accurate Financials – Ensure timely, precise monthly statements and manufacturer reporting
- Drive Insight & Strategy – Provide financial analysis that supports executive decision-making
- Maintain Financial Controls – Manage reconciliations, schedules, cash flow, and contracts in transit
- Ensure Compliance – Uphold OEM requirements, internal controls, and audit standards
- Build & Inspire Teams – Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team of 20+
- Partner with Leadership – Collaborate with department leaders to align financial goals with operational performance
- Strengthen External Relationships – Work closely with OEM partners, lenders, and outside auditors
What You Bring
- Required: Automotive Controller or Accounting Manager experience in a retail dealership
- Preferred: Multi-rooftop accounting leadership experience
- Expert knowledge of dealership accounting, financial statements, and manufacturer reporting
- Proven leadership skills with a focus on team development, morale, and accountability
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative leadership style
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Hands-on, solutions-oriented approach to leadership
- DMS proficiency (automotive dealership systems preferred)

- Competitive Compensation – Salary range: $105,000 – $144,000 annually, based on experience and scope

Requirements
- Prior experience in retail automotive dealership accounting management is required.
- Strong understanding of dealership financial statements, general ledger accounting, and manufacturer reporting.
- Experience managing cash flow, floor plan reconciliation, and tax computations.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor staff.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and dealership management systems (DMS).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
