Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Multifamily Finance Officer to join our team, to support the administration of Idaho Housing and Finance Association's multifamily affordable housing programs. As a Multifamily Finance Officer you will assist with reviewing, underwriting, and making recommendations on applications that are requesting the allocations of Low Income Housing Tax Credits. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to affordable housing development and make a meaningful impact in Idaho communities. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, high attention to detail, and a passion for affordable housing initiatives.
In This Role, You Will:
- Process applications, complete eligibility and GAP analysis, track allocations for compliance with requirements
- Complete allocation documents and assist in low-income tax credit program implementation
- Assist with regulatory reporting to federal and state partners
- Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing tax credit programs
- Monitor projects throughout the development lifecycle, establishing a tracking and follow-up system
- Foster and maintain relationships with developers
- Other job duties as assigned

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field from an accredited college or university is preferred
- 1 – 3 years’ experience in analyzing and underwriting LIHTC project applications is preferred
- Experience in commercial real estate, finance, or banking
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Excellent analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using Word, Excel, financial software, and other industry specific tools
