The Cut Parts Operator plays a vital role in our production process, ensuring every product embodies our dedication to excellence. With an eagle eye for detail, you will skillfully operate and maintain the cut parts table, crafting precise cuts and upholding impeccable quality standards. Collaborating closely with our production team, you will juggle priorities to meet order schedules and guarantee flawless, defect-free products. Responsibilities
- Operate the cut parts table and related machinery, ensuring precise cuts and high-quality output.
- Set up, load, and adjust machines following proper procedures and safety protocols.
- Monitor the production process to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Inspect materials using FIFO, verifying inventory control numbers and checking for defects.
- Input data into the Order Allocation Program to accurately record materials and production details.
- Prepare production logs, recording order start times, order numbers, total yards processed, and any downtime.
- Print production labels and ensure correct palletization and staging of materials for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, removing debris and performing regular machine cleaning.
- Report any unusual conditions or safety concerns to supervisors or management.
- Collaborate with the production team to prioritize tasks and meet scheduled targets.
- Ensure all finished products are bagged, boxed, and palletized correctly for shipping.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English to interpret setup sheets, SOPs, and communicate effectively.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and ability to read a tape measure.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs independently; ability to lift up to 100 lbs with assistance or electric hoist.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or factory environment is preferred.
