How you will make an impact
Following the continued growth of Opensignal’s business in the Canada Market Opensignal is excited to bring on a dedicated sales resource to win new business in the territory and grow existing accounts supported by Opensignal’s expanded product portfolio.

The role’s objective is to drive new business sales to expand Opensignal’s customer base throughout the territory and to grow Opensignal’s sales revenues with existing clients. The Sales Director will work closely with the Regional AVP of Sales and the Canadian Solution Consultants to execute their responsibilities.


Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy

  • Execute an effective sales strategy to win new high-profile clients in the defined territory including both direct and indirect sales models.
  • Drive revenue growth and new product sales with Opensignal target customers (primarily telecom operators – mobile and fixed).
  • Execute an effective account management strategy to maintain and grow the business with existing customers.
  • Influence target customers with Opensignal’s unique value proposition to generate new opportunities.
  • Work closely with Opensignal Product & Marketing teams to ensure maximum leverage and return from HQ driven promotional initiatives.
  • Work closely with Opensignal leadership and cross-functional teams to successfully position Opensignal in the Canadian market

Sales Performance

  • Develop and execute a territory plan to maximize revenue for Opensignal from the addressable market.
  • Execute strategic campaigns with key decision makers to achieve new client wins.
  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships with C-level decision-makers to drive executive alignment, expand pipeline, and close strategic deals.
  • Work with relevant industry stakeholders that can help to influence the market and sales opportunities e.g. regulators, NEMs, consultants.
  • Lead negotiation of business contracts.
  • Contribute to the global success of Opensignal, through close working relationships with other members of the sales team and supporting business unit.
  • Deliver results which exceed sales targets for the region.


Desired Skills & Abilities

  • Proven track record as a quota-carrying sales contributor with consistent success in achieving and exceeding sales targets and business goals.
  • Extensive experience selling innovative solutions (ideally OSS, BSS, CEX, VAS) to telecom operators using a consultative, direct-sales approach.
  • Deep understanding of the mobile and broadband telecoms market in Canada, with established relationships across technical and marketing stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in both new business development (from prospecting to close) and account growth (expanding existing customer revenues).
  • Skilled in operating both strategically and tactically, with the ability to plan, forecast, and deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a solid grasp of financial processes, business modeling, and structured sales methodologies.
  • Technically fluent in mobile networks (RAN, Core), customer experience, network performance metrics, and operational processes — capable of handling early-stage sales discussions independently.
