Location: Central London, Great Portland Street
Hours: 3 shifts per week, across 7 days (no fixed days)
Shift times: 7:30am – 8:00pm (37.5 hours per week over 3 days per week, 12.5 hour per shift)

Key Responsibilities
Patient Care and Interaction• Welcome patients and assist with the completion of examination-related paperwork.
• Escort patients to and from the waiting room, ensuring they are well-prepared for the procedure.
• Explain procedures clearly, answer questions, and offer reassurance to reduce patient anxiety.
• Assist Radiographers in preparing patients for examinations.
• Assist with manual handling as needed.
• Monitor appointment times and keep patients informed of delays or changes.
General Clinical Duties
• Take and record patients’ vital signs (observations) as part of the examination or aftercare process.
• Cannulate patients (if appropriately trained and certified).
• Monitor and manage patients post-examination, including drug-related aftercare.
• Ensure a good understanding and application of MRI safety and Radiation Protection regulations.
MRI-Specific Duties
• Screen patients for contraindications to MRI (e.g., metal implants, pacemakers), referring to radiographers as needed.
• Assist with preparation for contrast-enhanced MRI procedures (e.g., preparing contrast media, helping with cannulation setup under supervision).
• Help manage patient bookings, safety checklists, and documentation in line with local MRI safety protocols.
• Ensure MRI-safe practices are upheld, including adherence to magnetic safety zones.
Ultrasound-Specific Duties
• Support efficient scheduling and turnaround of appointments. Liaise with radiologist and book Ultrasound Examinations as required
• Prepare rooms and equipment for a variety of ultrasound scans (e.g., abdominal, obstetric, vascular).
• Chaperone patients during intimate examinations, ensuring dignity and privacy.
• Clean ultrasound probes and equipment between patients according to infection prevention guidelines.
Preventative Health Screening Duties
• Ensure that all queries are responded to timeously and patients scheduled as soon as possible for Health Screening packages
• Prepare all documentation and book all support services appointments (e.g. mammogram) at the preferred providers
• Assist the GP and chaperone and perform the pre consultation tests required as appropriately trained
• Compile all reports in preparation for the follow up consultations
• Maintain a professional, seamless patient pathway throughout the screening process.
Operational and Administrative Duties
• Accurately complete records in the RIS system and other documentation to support compliant scan day operations.
• Assist in sending reports and scheduling patient appointments as needed
• Accept, unpack, and manage deliveries; assist with regular stock takes and stock record maintenance.
• Support clinical audits in collaboration with the Quality and Risk Team.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and report any suggested changes for improvement.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personal, medical, and financial information.
Quality and Compliance
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional, patient-focused approach.
• Understand and support the organization’s Quality Management System and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Comply with MHRA guidance and the IR(ME)R 2017 regulations where applicable.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of internal processes alongside the UK management team.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
We would love to hear from you if you…- Experience working with patients in a healthcare environment
- Certified in phlebotomy or cannulation (highly advantageous)
- Are a highly organised with a positive, can-do attitude, understanding your colleagues and patients’ needs, always going the extra mile with nothing being too much trouble
- You pride yourself on your attention to detail, efficiency and ability to take ownership and manage your own workload whilst working across a variety of different tasks
- Have excellent communication and people skills with ability to build strong positive relationships with all patients, colleagues and service providers.
- Have ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines, with a flexible approach to changing plans always delivering to a high standard.

- Have strong IT skills across all Microsoft programmes.
