Your Mission

As a Project Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial health and performance of projects across one or several product lines. You will be responsible for project controlling, financial monitoring, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis.
Working closely with Project Managers, Business Stream Managers, and Finance stakeholders, you will ensure accurate financial reflection of projects, anticipate risks, and provide actionable insights that support decision-making and long-term value creation.

This role is based in Gent or Brussels, with at least 1 day per week in Gent.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

  • You set up and maintain the correct project structures in PLW/Temis to ensure accurate financial monitoring and contractual implementation.
  • You lead regular project reviews to assess progress, identify risks or delays, and adjust financial results/POC where needed.
  • You collaborate closely with Project Managers and Business Stream Managers to evaluate contractual situations and jointly determine financial impacts.
  • You monitor overall product financial performance, including P&L, Business Booked, overdue receivables, and cash flow.
  • You conduct financial reporting and analysis, providing variance insights, profit projections, and clear recommendations to management.
  • You ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting, contributing to strategic financial planning and long-term decision-making.
  • You identify and drive financial optimization opportunities, such as cost-saving initiatives and contingency adjustments.
  • You leverage financial tools (Power BI, Planisware, Temis) to analyse data, track performance, and support informed decisions.

 

 

We Would Love to Hear from People with

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in financial management, controlling, or advisory roles
  • Strong project management capabilities and experience leading cross-functional initiatives
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English
  • Experience working in international and multi-business environments
  • Deep financial knowledge and strong analytical capability
