Systems Engineer - IT/OT

As a Systems Engineer at Proconex, you will be at the forefront of configuring and supporting our advanced information technology and operations technology (IT/OT) systems, with a focus on Emerson DeltaV distributed control systems. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshooting: You will have the opportunity to showcase your problem-solving skills by identifying and resolving issues related to system communications on-site.

• Integrations: Supporting Emerson DeltaV integrations, including cloud/virtualization, will be a crucial aspect of your role.
• Sales and Proposal Support: You will have the opportunity to develop and foster strong relationships with business stakeholders and IT personnel, contributing to the growth of our organization.

Requirements:

To thrive in this role and make a positive impact, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Education: A bachelor’s in engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering or any other technical discipline is required.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to articulate the advantages of our technology to customers are essential for success in this role.
• Flexibility and Continuous Learning: Proconex operates in an environment that demands adaptability and embraces change. Your eagerness to continuously learn and grow will be an asset.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: We are seeking someone who can think outside the box and independently tackle unfamiliar challenges.
• Resilience: You should be comfortable dealing with adversity and confidently embrace challenges head-on.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Computer Operating Systems, Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Networking, Switches, and Routers is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of industrial networks, including VLANs, switches, firewalls, and remote access solutions.
• Capable of learning how to integrate automation systems with MES, LIMS, ERP, and data historian environments.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and industrial servers/workstations.
• Desire to learn industrial communication protocols: OPC Classic/UA, Modbus TCP/IP, MQTT, Ethernet/IP.
• Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks for industrial control systems (ISA/IEC 62443).
• Capable of learning Emerson Syncade MES, OSIsoft PI, AspenTech, or Aveva solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud integration (Azure IoT, AWS IoT) and edge computing for manufacturing data.
