IT/ Business Analyst

The IT/Business Analyst will undertake requirements gathering, system analysis and specifications analysisfor project related activities. The role will also undertake a range of activities related to business change(including the change to systems, solutions, and processes), defining and analysing business requirements,determining solution options, and documentation. Additionally, the IT/Business Analyst will supportsystems analysis, development, testing, and, on occasion, production support activities. The role is customerfacing and the Business Analyst should have advanced presentation and negotiation skills.

Key responsibilities

• Play an integration advisory role, guiding clients in their choices to extract maximum combined value for customers and platform products with minimal effort
• Responsible for the functional design of technical payment solutions, including integration of external systems into the IT environment
• Prepare business requirements documentation
• Challenge, shape, and clarify business requirements, highlighting commercial, financial, and IT systems implications
• Analyse confirmed business requirements and propose additional or alternative solutions where relevant
• Define and document business requirements, including business process mapping, data modelling, and financial analysis
• Facilitate negotiation of requirements among multiple stakeholders
• Provide ad hoc assistance during the project execution phase
• Support systems analysis, design, development, and testing activities, and help define the solution
• Support handover to systems analysis and development, including knowledge transfer and assistance during early development
• Help business and project stakeholders envision future ways of working
• Provide ad hoc assistance for production, pilot, or certification support

Required Skills and Experience:

• Fluent English is required, Czech is strongly preferred
• 3+ years of experience in roles such as Software Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and system integrations
• Familiarity with AWS or cloud-based environments
• Ability to write clear, structured technical documentation
• Experience in functional analysis, business process modelling, and solution design
• Ability to gather, challenge, and translate business requirements into practical solutions
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and facilitating workshops
• Comfortable working independently as well as in a team
• Availability to work from the Prague office at least 1 day per week


Nice to have:
• Basic understanding of PCI DSS requirements
• Experience with ISO 8583 and/or ISO 20022 protocols
