About this role

Company Description

Sodexo is a people business, employing over 400,000 people worldwide and thousands in Australia. Our hospitality all-rounders play a key role in keeping our sites functioning and well-maintained for village residents' safety, comfort, and well-being. Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it’s a chance to be part of something greater because we believe our everyday actions have a big impact.

The Role

We are seeking a highly collaborative team player with a curious mindset and a strong passion for data analytics. This role will be seconded to a high‑profile mining, oil and gas client and sit within their Supply Chain function, with a primary focus on demand planning, forecasting, and data‑driven decision‑making.

In this position, you will be responsible for understanding and forecasting workforce and resource demand, analysing complex data sets, and translating insights into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders. Success in this role requires strong stakeholder engagement, analytical capability, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

You will work closely with client teams, suppliers, and Sodexo operations to develop accurate forecasts, identify risks and opportunities, and support the smooth, sustainable operation of remote camps through enhanced business intelligence and performance tracking.

About You

You will thrive in this role if you have a strong analytical foundation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build relationships across complex stakeholder groups. You are someone who enjoys solving problems, exploring data, and making sense of ambiguity.

Essential Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability with experience in demand planning, forecasting, business analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience working with data visualisation, reporting or analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, Tableau, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyse data, and communicate insights clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement skills, ideally within a fast‑paced operational or supply chain environment.
  • Ability to travel safely to and from site as required.
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Check valid within the last 6 months.
  • Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical, including drug & alcohol screening.
  • Desirable

  • Experience in mining, oil & gas, supply chain, operations, or remote‑site environments.
  • Exposure to resource planning, operational forecasting, inventory or workforce modelling.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement or process optimisation methodologies.
