WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Develop and execute an inside sales and business development strategy to generate leads and drive sales of exempt market securities.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients through research, prospecting, networking, and referrals.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, financial advisors, and other industry professionals.
  • Ensure client records are accurate and up to date in CRM and internal systems.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics on a consistent basis.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted marketing materials and campaigns to support sales efforts.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients, addressing any questions or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions.
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure the smooth onboarding of new clients and to resolve any issues that may arise during the investment process.
  • Proactively follow up on outstanding client paperwork and documentation to ensure timely completion, accuracy, and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field; relevant industry certifications such as CFA, CAIA, CSC, CIM, or CFP is a strong asset.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in inside sales, client services, business development, or a similar role within the financial services industry; experience with exempt market securities is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in both English and French is considered a strong asset.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and building strong client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively engage with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian Mutual Fund or Exempt Market landscape and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and CRM software; experience with HubSpot or Salesforce is an advantage.

Our salary ranges are thoughtfully developed to support internal equity and external market competitiveness. Final placement within the range considers your skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as internal alignment. Our goal is to ensure fairness while supporting your growth, learning, and long-term success. Our compensation range for this role will consist of a total compensation between $65,000 - $95,000 annually, structured as a base salary with commission based on performance.
