About this role

Wellfit is the dental industry’s fintech solution! A healthcare fintech company that enhances experiences between patients, providers, employers and payors. Wellfit provides access to treatment and care of all by removing financial barriers.
About Wellfit:At Wellfit, we simplify healthcare financing and payment solutions through a scalable, patient-centric fintech platform. Our Financing Marketplace (FMP) connects providers, patients, and funding partners through compliant, efficient workflows that remove financial barriers to care. As we evolve our delivery model and adopt AI-accelerated product development practices, we are expanding our product organization with a focus on adaptability, execution, and thoughtful scaling.
Position Overview:We are hiring a Product Owner to support delivery for the Financing Marketplace product area. This role is execution-focused and delivery-oriented, partnering closely with Product Management, Business Analysts, Architecture, and Engineering to ensure high-quality, timely outcomes.
This role is designed for a technically grounded Product Owner who thrives in ambiguity, is open to evolving delivery models, and is energized by modern, AI-assisted product workflows. The Product Owner will help maintain momentum as we scale today while remaining flexible as tooling, processes, and team structures mature.
Key Responsibilities:• Own delivery execution for the Financing Marketplace (FMP) scrum team, including sprint planning, backlog readiness, and release coordination.• Partner with Product Managers to translate roadmap priorities into executable delivery plans aligned with business outcomes.• Work closely with Business Analysts and Architects to validate requirements, confirm scope accuracy, and ensure technical feasibility before development begins.• Serve as a delivery checkpoint, ensuring stories are complete, well-defined, and aligned before entering development.• Facilitate sprint ceremonies including standups, planning, demos, and retrospectives.• Coordinate releases, prepare release notes, and support production incident triage.• Act as point of escalation for P1 incidents.• Assess priority and scheduling for lower-severity issues.• Monitor sprint risks, dependencies, and capacity constraints across the FMP workstream.• Maintain backlog hygiene, delivery transparency, and velocity tracking.
Delivery & AI Enablement Mindset:• Open and adaptable to AI-assisted product development workflows (e.g., AI-supported PRDs, requirements refinement, and downstream delivery acceleration).• Willing to learn and evolve alongside new tooling and processes as they mature.• Curious, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented rather than rigidly attached to traditional workflows.(Direct experience with proprietary AI frameworks is not required; openness, curiosity, and adaptability are.)
Qualifications:• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Delivery Lead, or Senior Business Analyst in a fintech, payments, lending, or complex transactional environment.• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery models and Jira tooling.• Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, architecture, and product leadership.• Familiarity with financial transaction flows, lending platforms, or funding partner integrations is a plus.• Strong communication skills and comfort operating in evolving, fast-moving environments.• Ability to balance delivery execution with flexibility as organizational needs shift.

Why Wellfit:Meaningful Impact: Your work directly supports access to care through smarter healthcare financing.• Modern Product Environment: Exposure to evolving AI-enabled delivery practices.• Growth with Stability: Profitable fintech with national scale and long-term runway.• People-First Culture: Thoughtful leadership, transparency, and real collaboration.• Work Flexibly: Hybrid model based in Dallas with 3 days/week in-office.• Comprehensive Benefits: Full medical, dental, vision, and generous PTO.• Invest in Your Future: Competitive salary, bonus eligibility, and 401(k) matching.• Fast-Growth Environment: A rare opportunity to grow with a profitable startup on a national trajectory.
