About this role

About AnywhereNow and Deepdesk

AnywhereNow is a fast-paced, mission-driven company transforming customer experience through AI-powered contact centre solutions. Our portfolio includes Dialogue Cloud, Tendfor, and Deepdesk, delivering cutting-edge capabilities across Microsoft Teams environments and enterprise CX platforms.

Deepdesk is an AI platform delivering real-time agent-assist solutions for customer support across chat, email, and voice channels. Using natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, and large language models (LLMs), Deepdesk extracts knowledge from multiple enterprise systems and delivers conversation insights, summaries, and next-best actions directly into agent workflows.

Deepdesk is currently on its Agentic AI journey evolving from assistive AI toward autonomous, goal-driven AI agents that can reason, act, and orchestrate tasks across multiple systems. This next phase of the platform requires robust, scalable, and intelligent data infrastructure at its core.

Deepdesk integrates seamlessly with CRM systems, contact-centre technologies, knowledge bases, and other business data sources — helping organisations improve customer experience and operational efficiency.

Requirements

As a Data Engineer, you will design, build, and optimise scalable data pipelines and platforms that power Deepdesk's AI models, analytics, and system integrations. You'll work closely with machine learning engineers, backend developers, and product teams to ensure reliable, high-quality data flows across diverse internal and external systems.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building robust data infrastructure in an AI-driven product environment where real-time data and system integrations are core to the platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for ingesting and transforming data from multiple systems

  • Integrate data from CRMs, contact-centre platforms, knowledge bases, and third-party APIs

  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and availability across environments

  • Develop scalable data models for analytics, reporting, and machine learning use cases

  • Manage data warehouses and data lakes handling structured and unstructured data

  • Implement batch and streaming pipelines supporting real-time AI features

  • Process chat, email, and voice transcript data for analytics and model training

  • Partner with ML teams to prepare datasets for training and evaluation

  • Support backend teams with data APIs and integration layers

  • Document data architecture, flows, and governance practices

  • Monitor pipeline performance and optimise for reliability and cost

  • Implement data security, privacy, and compliance best practices

  • Experience with column-oriented analytical databases is highly valued; experience with ClickHouse is a strong preference

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles

  • Strong SQL and experience with relational databases

  • Proficiency in Python (Scala or Java is a plus)

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure

  • Familiarity with modern data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, etc.)

  • Experience with data orchestration and processing tools (Airflow, Spark, Kafka, etc.)

  • Understanding of data requirements for AI/ML systems

  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

  • Strategic thinker with a bias for action and results

  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of deliverables end-to-end

Nice to Have

  • Experience with customer support or contact-centre data

  • Knowledge of API-driven data integrations

  • Familiarity with NLP or LLM-related data pipelines

  • Experience with data observability or lineage tools (dbt, OpenLineage)

  • Experience with ClickHouse or other high-performance columnar analytics databases
