The Role: Account ManagerThe Account Manager plays a critical role on Tunnl’s Client Experience team, leading day-to-day execution across multiple client accounts and serving as the connective tissue between our clients and Strategic Research teams. This role blends tactical project ownership with early strategic input and is ideal for someone looking to grow into an Account Director within 1-3 years.You’ll manage deliverables, translate research into insights, and serve as the point of contact for key accounts. You’ll work closely with Account Directors to scope projects, ensure on-time delivery, and support client conversations. This is a client-facing, detail-oriented role that rewards curiosity, proactivity, and strong written and verbal communication.The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys organizing complex workflows, and wants to deepen their expertise in research, messaging, and audience targeting. DC-area preferred, but open to strong remote candidates.
Responsibilities:Client Delivery & Project Ownership·       Support larger strategic accounts in partnership with an Account Director·       Own delivery across several small- to mid-sized client accounts·       Serve as primary day-to-day client contact, providing responsive and thoughtful communication·       Lead internal project and operational management for quantitative and qualitative research projects·       Translate quantitative and qualitative data into insights and help connect outputs to client objectives·       Draft reporting deliverables including toplines, memos, and presentation decksCross-Functional Coordination·       Partner with Account Executive and Strategic Research teams to scope, QA, and refine audience and survey projects·       Track project milestones and flag delivery risks early·       Manage internal ticketing systems, Dropbox folders, and other organizational management tools·       Ensure data transfers (LiveRamp, Dropbox, etc.) are completed accurately and documented properlyClient Reporting & Quality Control·       Conduct first-pass QA of deliverables before Director or client review·       Support data validation, audience formatting, and memo creation·       Coordinate audience activation processes and troubleshoot client-facing questions·       Prepare agendas and lead status updates for client callsTeam Collaboration & Growth·       Support onboarding of Research Analysts and Interns·       Share learnings across pods to improve team systems and repeatability·       Take initiative in proposing new solutions to delivery bottlenecks or client pain points·       Contribute to a collaborative, feedback-rich team culture
Required Qualifications·       3–6 years of experience in client services, research, public affairs, or digital strategy·       Experience managing client communications, deliverables, and timelines·       Excellent writing and verbal skills — can draft client-ready language·       Strong attention to detail, especially in research or data-heavy projects·       Familiarity with tools like Dropbox, Hubspot, LiveRamp, and Asana or other ticketing systems·       Some domestic travel may be required (approximately 2–3 days per month) for client meetings or industry eventsPreferred Qualifications·       Experience in public affairs, issue advocacy, or political communications·       Experience with survey research, polling, or analytics tools·       Experience with audience targeting, segmentation, or media planning·       Comfort working with structured data, slides, and memos·       DC-area preferred (hybrid team environment)
