Solution Architect for Group Finance

In Group Finance department, we service all of NN’s business units and support them with their financial processes. Whether it is about payments, collections, data analysis or reporting, we work together to keep delivering sustainable, secure and well-governed solutions.

Data and technology in NN Group Finance are evolving fast, so we’re looking for a Solution Architect for Group Finance to join NN Digital Hub in Prague. 

Your impact at NN

In this role, you will design end-to-end solution architectures for Group Finance initiatives in line with enterprise and data architecture as well as business strategy. You will translate functional and non-functional requirements into clear architectural decisions, define integration patterns across systems, and act as a quality gate during delivery to ensure the solution is implemented as designed.

You will work closely with DevOps teams, project managers, business analysts, and domain/enterprise architects.

The tasks you will perform

• ​Develop and document solution architecture and design specifications for projects, aligned with formal architecture decisions and standards.
• ​Represent the solution scope in architecture decision-making meetings.
• ​Collaborate with DevOps teams and project managers to ensure delivery follows the designed architecture.
• ​Work with business analysts and stakeholders to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
• ​Design integration points/patterns between systems to optimize data flows and business processes.
• ​Recommend specific technologies and tools to be used in implementation.
• ​Ensure the solution meets architectural quality standards and performs as expected through testing and validations.
• ​Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers/developers on architecture principles and best practices.
• ​Co-create architecture standards and guidelines together with Domain and Enterprise Architects.
• ​Represent NN externally in solution-domain related technology topics (when needed).

The knowledge and experience you bring

• ​University-level education (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience) in a technical field.
• ​A minimum of 4+ years of experience in a technology context (ideally designing/executing/supporting cloud and data solutions).
• ​Excellent understanding of modern cloud computing technologies and trends.
• ​Basic understanding of corporate finance processes (experience in insurance finance is a plus).
• ​Certification in a relevant technology platform (e.g., .NET/Java, C#, Databricks, SAP, AWS, Azure, etc.).
• ​Knowledge of architecture and design methodologies such as DDD, Archimate, 4C (or similar).
• ​Experience working in Agile/Scrum and with DevOps teams.
• ​Fluent English (verbal and written)

Practical details

• ​Based in Prague with regular office presence 1–2 days per week to align with stakeholders.
• ​Willingness to travel within Europe around 4 times per year (or more often if needed).
