Job Description Summary
This partnership engages Ringling College INDEX students to develop a social media campaign in conjunction with the Business of Art + Design program for the League of Women Voters. The non-partisan campaign will encourage voter turnout in the Sarasota area. Students will work with the client to understand brand identity and messaging standards, review client expectations and requirements and pitch initial concepts for the campaign.The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the job:
Duties and Responsibilities
Students will work with the client to understand brand identity and messaging standards.
Review client expectations and requirements, and pitch initial concepts for the design.
Receive feedback and refine concepts to achieve client approval.
Create finished outcomes that meet client expectations by the project end date.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills + Abilities
Ability to use various software, including Illustrator and/or Figma, to create designs.
Demonstrated knowledge of graphic design principles to expressively communicate original concepts.
Ability to prepare final files for digital use on social media and for print.
Ability to self-direct projects and manage time without direct instruction; must be organized, reliable and able to follow through on assignments.
Ability to perform all assigned tasks and proactively seek input throughout the process, proactively communicating and self-initiating work when needed.
Effective written and oral communication skills, including a strong command of the English language. Exhibits an eye for detail (including proofreading before submitting work for review).
Must be highly organized and understand the importance of consistent file naming conventions, file setup, and asset organization/labeling.
Must be dependable and able to work as scheduled with flexibility.
