Job Description

The Position

As the Product Manager for our Observability DevOps Product, you will be the leader responsible for enabling the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our Observability platforms. You will own this product to deliver best self-service oriented capabilities for ultimate observability experience. Your mission is to deeply understand customer (Engineers, business. Support teams, etc.) challenges in monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring the reliability of their services, and translate those needs into powerful self-service capabilities.

You will work at the intersection of engineering, product, and user experience, collaborating closely with the Platform teams to prioritize features, define requirements, and ensure you are building what matters most. This is a high-impact role where your work will directly improve the productivity, efficiency, and operational excellence of our entire Company with all our technical products needing Observability.

What will you do

  • Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog and roadmap, balancing new features, technical debt, and operational improvements with financial responsibility and value provided.
  • Engage continuously with internal teams through interviews, surveys, and data analysis to deeply understand their pain points, workflows, and unmet needs.
  • Author clear and concise user stories, epics, and product requirements in JIRA, ensuring the Platform teams have clear understanding on the work in progress, completed, and in the backlog.
  • Partner with the Platform teams in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to guide development and ensure timely delivery of value.
  • Define and track Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the platform, such as adoption rates, user satisfaction (NPS), and impact on key engineering metrics like Product SLOs and Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR).
  • Regularly communicate roadmap updates, release plans, and strategic decisions to leadership and other key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Drive adoption and best practices by leading internal marketing efforts, creating documentation in Confluence and sharepoint and running training sessions or workshops when needed.


Qualifications, skills & experience required

  • 4+ years of experience in a Product Manager role, preferably working on a technical product, developer tool, or internal Observability platform.
  • A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and CI/CD concepts. You must be able to have credible discussions with engineers.
  • Proven ability to conduct user research, synthesize qualitative and quantitative feedback, and translate customer needs into actionable product requirements.
  • Deep experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, with hands-on expertise in managing a product backlog using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience defining product metrics, analyzing data, and using it to inform prioritization and strategy.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate a complex technical vision to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills to help lead local development team, provide motivation and allow for growth and learning new skills.
  • Understanding concepts of GenAI and ability to create new strategies where to reasonably implement it.


Nice to have

  • Direct experience with or a deep understanding of observability and reliability concepts (SLOs, App instrumentation, troubleshooting incidents). Familiarity with tools like Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, eBPF, LogicMonitor, Dynatrace, BigPanda is a major plus.
  • Developer/Engineer background is strongly recommended for better interaction with internal team and understanding customer needs.
  • Previous experience as a PM for an internal developer platform, where your customers were your colleagues.
  • The ability to think beyond immediate feature requests and build a cohesive, long-term strategy that anticipates future needs.
  • A proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders without having direct managerial authority.
  • An understanding of how platform investments translate into business value, such as improved developer productivity, system reliability, and faster time-to-market.
