Digital Enterprise Technology (DET) is Salesforce’s enterprise IT organization, built on our core values of Trust, Ohana, and Innovation. We go beyond traditional IT by partnering closely with our Employee Success (ES) teams to deliver impactful, business-driven technology solutions.

DET owns and operates the world’s largest Salesforce implementation and is responsible for enterprise technology strategy, applications engineering, infrastructure, collaboration, architecture, and program enablement. Overview of the Role

Digital Enterprise Technology is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager – Workday HCM to join our product organization supporting the Global Employee Success (HR) team at Salesforce.

In this role, you will own the product vision and roadmap for key Workday HCM capabilities, driving scalable and innovative HR solutions that support Salesforce’s Talent and Recruiting strategy. You will partner closely with HR stakeholders, engineering teams, and cross-functional IT partners to translate business needs into high-impact product outcomes.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and brings deep expertise in Workday HCM, Position Management, and Security, with strong business analysis and product delivery experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the product vision and roadmap for Workday HCM, balancing short-term delivery with long-term strategic outcomes.

  • Serve as the primary product partner to Global Employee Success (HR) stakeholders.

  • Align business and technical teams on priorities, scope, timelines, and trade-offs.

  • Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and product requirements.

  • Plan and manage work through Agile delivery, including sprint planning and backlog prioritization.

  • Communicate product progress, risks, and dependencies to business and technology stakeholders.

  • Ensure solutions promote simplification, scalability, data accuracy, and user productivity.

  • Review technical solutions to ensure alignment with business processes, architecture standards, and security requirements.

  • Identify business themes and industry trends, influencing product strategy and feature adoption.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in Workday configuration and/or implementation, with strong focus on HCM and Security.

  • Proven experience leading process improvement or HR technology transformation initiatives.

  • Strong product and business analysis skills, including requirements gathering and solution design.

  • Ability to make recommendations on technology and product strategy.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience working in global, cross-functional teams.

  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Solid understanding of project and product management principles, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.

  • Workday HCM Certification.

  • Strong experience with Workday Security.

  • Knowledge of Workday Financials and cross-functional touchpoints with HCM.

  • Experience integrating with Enterprise Data Hub / Data Warehouse (EDH/EDW).

  • Knowledge of modern cloud and web-based applications.

  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $172,500 - $237,200 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
