About the job:
The Trade Marketing Manager serves as the strategic bridge between Sales and Trade Marketing teams, driving exceptional retail execution and brand growth for Opella's Consumer Healthcare portfolio. This role focuses on developing comprehensive trade marketing strategies with particular emphasis on loyalty programs and retail schemes that enhance shopper experience and accelerate brand performance across all channels.
Main Responsibilities:
Strategic Trade Marketing Leadership Develop and execute comprehensive Trade Marketing Strategy for CHC brands nationally, conceptualizing trade marketing calendars aligned with business strategy while driving width and depth for existing, new, and focus products across all trade channels. Define Route-to-Market strategies and establish winning in-store execution models that deliver executional excellence for Opella brands.
Loyalty Program Excellence & Retail Scheme Management Design, implement, and optimize channel loyalty engagement programs that build lasting retailer relationships through effective trade programs. Create innovative retail schemes that drive wholesaler and retailer activation, focusing on engagement rate improvement and sustainable partnership development. Develop counter-competitive strategies in coordination with Sales teams for seamless marketplace execution.
Retail Execution & Activation Management Manage and execute activation calendars as agreed, ensuring best-in-class retail execution through strategic POSM deployment and activation management. Drive trade activation programs that enhance wholesaler and retailer engagement while maintaining monthly reporting on activations and feedback collection on engagement programs.
New Product Launch & Market Intelligence Work collaboratively with sales teams on New Product Development launches, owning the promotion, placement, distribution, and visibility strategy. Conduct competition tracking and monitoring to gather market insights, developing effective trade programs aligned with market requirements while collecting and disseminating best practices for profitable trade marketing activities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication Act as the critical link between Sales and Marketing teams, ensuring required information is readily available and exchanged comprehensively. Collaborate with Supply Chain for dispatch of samples and materials while keeping effectiveness in mind.
Financial Management & Analysis Maintain trade spends within approved budgets while analyzing and tracking Return on Trade Investments. Create effective programs through data analysis, identifying and evaluating requisite data to assess product needs and market opportunities.
Market Excellence & Compliance Ensure desired market hygiene, brand availability and visibility aligned with merchandising principles. Understand and comply with organizational Code of Ethics while communicating Opella values across all team interactions and external partnerships.
Key Performance Indicators
CHC brand sales growth and market share expansion, loyalty program engagement rates, retail scheme effectiveness, trade activation success metrics, budget adherence, and cross-functional collaboration excellence while maintaining highest standards of ethical conduct and company values representation.
About you:
Post Graduate Degree in Management, with a specialization in Marketing
A total experience of 6 to 8 years in the Sales and Marketing Function with a minimum 3 years’ experience in trade marketing functions
FMCG; Consumer healthcare industry experience is a plus
