POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a highly organised and detail‑driven Goods Receiver & Cost Controller to join our team at The Park Tower Knightsbridge Hotel. In this key operational role, you will be responsible for managing all daily deliveries to the hotel, ensuring every item is checked, recorded and stored correctly. You will support both the Finance and Food & Beverage teams through accurate stock control, invoice processing, supplier reconciliation, and the upkeep of purchasing systems such as BirchStreet, Beagle, PeopleSoft and CAPCON.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, has strong organisational and communication skills, and enjoys working with both operational and finance teams. As a Goods Receiver & Cost Controller you will be responsible for the acceptance and handling of all incoming deliveries to the Park Tower Knightsbridge Hotel, as well as maintaining the Beverage storeroom and updating relevant systems.
You will be working 40h per week between 07:00 – 15:00.
Your Responsibilities:
Receiving Deliveries
- Receive, check, and document all deliveries accurately and on time.
- Verify items against Purchase Orders and Delivery Notes, report discrepancies immediately.
- Record temperatures for food items and ensure proper storage following HACCP and safety rules.
- Photograph and document damaged goods and follow up with suppliers for credits.
- Communicate arrivals to relevant departments and coordinate crate/pallet returns.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with all Health & Safety procedures.
Systems & Reporting
- Record all received goods daily in BirchStreet and maintain accurate PO data.
- Reconcile Purchase Orders with invoices and resolve discrepancies with Accounts Payable and suppliers.
- Approve invoices in Beagle and perform weekly/monthly system reconciliations.
- Maintain CAPCON beverage inventory system and generate required reports.
- Prepare monthly variance, waste, and utilities reports; maintain proper audit‑ready filing of documents.
Inventory & Cost Control
- Manage beverage cellar and storage areas using FIFO, proper labelling, and security.
- Receive beverage orders, prepare requisitions, and distribute stock to outlets.
- Conduct monthly physical inventories with sign‑off and system verification.
- Monitor and report stock variances, breakages, wastage, and spoilage across outlets.
- Perform spot checks, monitor expiry dates, investigate shortages, and manage returns to vendors.
- Collaborate with F&B and Finance teams to ensure accurate stock results and assist with menu costing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
