Global Function:
As part of the Global Finance team at Blackstone, our mission is to operate a world-class, technologically advanced platform that offers a full scope of investment, liquidity, and risk management capabilities on a global scale. The team at Blackstone comprises Treasury Operations, Technology, Finance and Analytics as well as Accounts Payable and Procurement Operations.
The Treasury Operations teams are in three Regional Treasury Centres (“RTC”) New York, Singapore and London. Blackstone’s global Treasury operations supports the global processes under the ‘follow-the-sun’, ‘one platform, one process’, and one operating model.
The Treasury team currently utilizes a robust Treasury Management System (“TMS”) to centralize the payment processing function for the region and will also continuously seek opportunistic investments that preserve liquidity while optimizing returns.
Job Responsibilities:
This candidate will be an integral team member in Blackstone’s India offices and will partner closely with internal stakeholders globally and with external banking counterparties.
- Oversight of Global Treasury Operations covering US, EMEA, ASIA Operations
- Cash, Bank Account Opening, Static Data maintenance, SWIFT, FX Trade Settlement, Reporting; KYC annual refresh, FBAR, Multiple Cash Forecasts, SOPs, Bank fee management, Bank administration
- Team coordination over multiple time zones, administration, load balancing, and training
- Interact with banks, Treasury counterparties, finance groups and deal teams for Blackstone’s various operating businesses
- Provide middle and back-office support for cash, investment and FX settlements (including derivatives)
- Manage daily, short term cash forecasting and drive global Treasury for firm-wide cash forecasting process.
- Manage and update internal / external standard settlement instructions as required
Key Requirements:
- Experience using Treasury Management Workstation (Wall Street Suites) and SWIFT payment processing and reporting
- In-depth knowledge of SWIFT message standards
- Previous experience using Wall Street Suite product is a significant plus
- Experience handling system enhancements, modifications, and implementations
- Familiarity with opening bank accounts and preparing forms/letters related to bank account documentation (i.e. KYC, Letter of Direction).
- Previous experience managing a large team while providing hands-on support, and coaching
- Ensuring key controls are adhered to and controls added for best practice
- Ability to present to key senior stakeholders across Treasury and accounting groups
- Assist in regional and global projects and create / provide support for system process enhancements
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
- Years of experience required: 10-15
- Previous in-depth experience using a Treasury Management Workstation and SWIFT payment processing and reporting with a knowledge of SWIFT message standards
- Global Treasury operations experience.
- Excellent liquidity and reporting skills with the ability to create polished PowerPoint presentations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint
- Ability to work under pressure
- Customer-service oriented
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
- High level of integrity and trustworthiness
- Organised with an ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
- Good team player and excels in a team first environment
- Previous experience using or project management of Wall Street Suite treasury management system is a significant plus
- Previous experience with an alternative asset management company or other asset management company is a plus
