Job Description:

  • Lead end-to-end mechanical design for custom machines, standard automation platforms, and SPM systems.

  • Apply advanced engineering principles to analyze and resolve complex mechanical design and manufacturing issues.

  • Translate customer and product requirements into robust mechanical concepts, layouts, and detailed designs.

  • Develop and review 3D models and 2D drawings with proper GD&T, material specifications, and manufacturing details.

  • Guide, mentor, and technically review designs created by mechanical design engineers.

  • Ensure compliance with DFM/DFA principles, quality standards, and design standardization.

  • Perform design calculations, tolerance stack-up analysis, and mechanism validation.

  • Identify and execute BOM and labor cost reduction opportunities through value engineering and should-cost analysis.

  • Collaborate with electrical, controls, manufacturing, quality, procurement, and suppliers for integrated solutions.

  • Manage engineering change control, documentation, and release of parts and subsystems for production.

  • Support testing, validation, FAT/SAT, trials, and commissioning activities as required.

  • Deliver mechanical design milestones on time in line with project schedules and customer commitments.

Requirements:

  • B. E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics

  • 7–10 years of experience in mechanical design, automation, machine building, or industrial product development

  • Deep expertise in mechanical design, components, materials, GD&T, and manufacturing processes

  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (advanced modeling, assemblies, drawings)

  • Experience with engineering testing, validation, and qualification methods

  • Solid understanding of BOM costing, value engineering, and cost optimization techniques

  • Experience with engineering change management and documentation control

  • Exposure to regulatory and compliance requirements (CE / UL / ISO)

  • Strong project management, leadership, and stakeholder coordination skills

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

  • Ability to work in cross-functional and international team environments

  • Proven capability to multitask, prioritize, and deliver under tight timelines
