As lead data scientist the person is responsible for designing, developing and supporting advanced analytical solutions to solve business problems leveraging ML and AI capabilities. The ideal candidate is an individual experienced and comfortable working with data domains commonly associated with consumer goods (CPG) industry (e.g. point of sales, order to cash, finance, mfg. Scada and MES data etc.). The individual is expected to set up standards and guidelines for ML Ops. Must be self-directed go-getter who can confidently engage with business stakeholders at all levels and create opportunities from ambiguity.

As the lead data scientist, your primary role and responsibilities may include:

· Understand and translate business requests to viable and value-add analytic solution opportunities.

· Design, implement and support end-to-end digital solutions on diverse data sets from business applications.

· Leverage advanced analytics capabilities (Machine learning and AI) to the digital solutions for improving Duracell business operations.

· Collaborate with diverse teams at various levels, from business operations to mgmt. and with IT peers.

· Adhere to IT architecture standards and contribute to establishing and improving the same, as needed.

· Provide thought leadership and innovative approach to solutions delivery, guide teams on emerging technology trends in data and analytics.

You may fit well into this role if you have:

· Advanced working knowledge of data wrangling using SQL, Python or any suitable ML and AI technology.

· Experience working with CPG enterprise applications (SAP, Salesforce, mfg. Scada, MES) and databases.

· Real world experience creating and operationalizing analytical solutions with ML/AI capabilities.

· Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities.

· Experience working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

· Strong leadership, stakeholder relationship management, and communication skills; ability to proactively engage and work effectively with global and local teams and manage priorities.

· Experience working with ML/AI and Business Intelligence platforms in a hybrid cloud and on-premise environments for medium to large scale businesses.

· Ability to effectively collaborate across technical teams and business stakeholders.

· Experience with one or more of the following technologies:

  • ML/AI on Snowflake(preferred) and/or MS Azure platforms.
  • ML Ops (Azure Devops)
  • ETL tools
  • MS Power BI (desirable but not a must)

· Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with a concentration in the field of computer science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence or related technical discipline.

· 4+ years’ work experience building and supporting ML and AI analytic solutions for consumer good, retail and/or manufacturing operations and processes.
