Finance Officer KREASI
Role Purpose
Within Save the Children Financial Framework, this position implements and undertakes financial, accounting and support for budgeting activities for the KREASI Program in the respective KREASI target Province. In addition, to provide financial management, compliance oversight, and capacity-building support to KREASI implementing partners in the respective target Province, ensuring partner financial practices, reporting, and documentation comply with Save the Children policies, donor requirements, and agreed partnership agreements.
What you will do:
- Manage the payments process of the KREASI project implementation in the KREASI target provinces’ related expenditures.
- Record and review of financial transactions related to program activities and operations
- Ensure sufficient levels of cash are available according to program/operational needs.
- Support the KREASI Provincial team in preparing required financial reports for all related parties both internal and external, in order to ensure the provision of accurate and timely financial information
- Support the KREASI Provincial team in performing budgeting preparation and monitoring activities to ensure the implementation of the budget is in line with Save the Children policies and guidelines as well as donor guideline
- Support Provincial Manager in regularly monitoring budget vs actual expenditures
- Providing technical assistance to field implementation partners regarding program financial management
- Conducting coordination with partners on financial issues, including clarification and follow-up on findings
- Review and validate the implementing partner's financial reports and all supporting documents (transaction receipts, contracts, invoices, etc.).
- Ensure that all financial transactions are in accordance with the accounting standards, approved budget, SOPs, and donor requirements.
- Maintain the timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of program financial reports.
- Support all external/internal audits including annual corporate audit, project audit, donor audit and any other special audits as per requirement.
What we need from you:
Education and Experience Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance or related field with INGOs
- Good understanding of development sector
Skills and Knowledge:
- Good understanding in spreadsheet applications
- Excellent understand of accounting / finance flows
- Excellent understand of tax regulations is preferable
- Excellent knowledge of computer systems, software, networking and internet
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills both with external and internal parties
- Good analytical skills
- Good sense of prioritisation
- Conscious about meeting deadlines
- Ability to work independently with less supervision
