Role Overview
The Business Analyst role is responsible for working with various stakeholders to develop and maintain functional and technical requirements as part of the Enterprise Tooling Product Enhancements. This will involve collaboration with stakeholders, documentation and maintenance of requirements to facilitate implementation & testing by the Engineering teams.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate, analyse, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis, and maintain systems processes, including the delivery of monthly status reports to all appropriate parties
- Author and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation
- Conduct daily systems analytics to maximize effectiveness and troubleshoot problems
- Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with partners for optimized systems integration, and respond to questions and concerns from managers and executives with supporting research and recommendations
- Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
- Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
- Performing requirements analysis.
- Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts.
- Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
- Staying up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
- Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
- Performing user acceptance testing.
Candidate Profile / Key Skills
- Advanced technical skills.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Knowledge of Atlassian Tools like JIRA, Confluence, Bit Bucket
- Knowledge of Strategic Portfolio Management Tools like Clarity, Planview
- Knowledge of ServiceNow
- Strong documentation skills: able to convey complex processes/procedures effectively in documents
- Stakeholder Management
- Reporting Frameworks
- Degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience
- Proven training in software development lifecycle or methodologies
- Good background in SaaS and knowledge of technology estates
- Understanding of Agile
- High level of proficiency with MS Office applications
- Experience in large investment banking or financial services organisations is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong Planning, organisational and stakeholder holder management, with confidence to challenge preconceptions of outcomes and solutions.
- Good communication, presentation, documentation, and customer engagement skills with proven ability to work effectively with all organisational levels.
- Global experience – working successfully with teams in multiple locations simultaneously.
