Job Title: Auditor, Intermediate 

 

Please note: this position is 100% in-office.

 

Job Summary 

Responsible for completing plant audits to ensure that there are the proper controls in place to prevent a material misstatement or error in the financial statements.  In addition, ensure that the plants are in compliance with the Linamar Accounting Manual and the Global Operating System. 

 

Responsibility 

  • Conduct and oversee the full audit cycle 

  • Prepare the audit files 

  • Conduct on site interviews 

  • Document the control processes 

  • Complete detailed testing 

  • Complete balance sheet reconciliation reviews 

  • Prepare the audit report 

  • Present findings to the management team including appropriate recommendations 

  • Follow up to ensure audit issues are being closed out in a timely manner 

  • Ensure Plants are in compliance with the Linamar Accounting Policies and Procedures and the Global Operating System. 

  • Complete desk audits and present the findings to global accounting team 

  • Responding to enquires by the global Linamar Accounting team 

 

Academic/Educational Requirements 

  • A university degree, preferably in business. 

  • CPA designation (or equivalent designation) or working towards the completion of the CPA designation (or equivalent designation). 

 

  • Required Skills/Experience 

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel, Word and PowerPoint 

  • Ability to work independently and in team environment. 

  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills. 

  • Strong organizational skills. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • 2-3 years of audit experience 

  • Experience in the manufacturing environment is an asset 

  • Working knowledge of IFS software is an asset 

  • A valid passport and ability to travel globally. 

  • Must be able to travel extensively (26%-50%)

  • Valid driver’s license
