The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercial / IT / IP Legal Counsel/Specialist to join a collaborative and high-performing legal team within a fast-growing technology company.
In this role, you will act as a key legal advisor to Sales, Sales Management and internal stakeholders across the Southwest Europe region (France, Italy, Spain and Portugal), with a particular focus on France and Italy. You will support revenue-generating activities while helping the business navigate complex commercial, regulatory and risk-related matters.
Beyond day-to-day legal support, the position offers the opportunity to contribute to the scaling of the legal function, including process improvement, legal technology (CLM), knowledge management and the responsible use of AI.
This role is based in Paris, France and is a hybrid position (3 days per week in the office).
What You’ll Do
• Support revenue-generating business across the Southwest Europe region, with a primary focus on France and Italy, by drafting, reviewing and negotiating enterprise commercial agreements, including SaaS / cloud services, software licensing, professional services and related agreements (DPAs, SOWs, reseller and consulting agreements).
• Provide clear, practical and commercially minded legal advice to Sales and internal stakeholders on commercial, IP, data protection, information security and risk-related matters.
• Support complex customer negotiations, helping drive deals to closure while appropriately managing legal and commercial risk.
• Monitor and advise on regulatory and legislative developments impacting the business, with a particular focus on data protection, financial services (FSI) and consumer regulations.
• Collaborate closely with Legal colleagues across EMEA, Latin America and globally, ensuring alignment, consistency and effective knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to legal team initiatives and projects, including process improvements, knowledge management and legal technology tools.
What You'll Need to Succeed
• Qualified lawyer with 5–8 years of experience, ideally gained in a reputable law firm and/or in-house within a technology, SaaS or software environment.
• Strong expertise in commercial, IT and IP law, including enterprise software and cloud services, with a solid understanding of data protection and exposure to AI-related legal issues.
• Proven experience supporting sales teams and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Experience and knowledge in Public Sector is a plus.
• Fluent in English and French; Italian proficiency is mandatory. Spanish or another EU language is a plus.
• Strong business acumen with a practical, solution-oriented and commercially minded approach.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while being a collaborative, reliable and international-minded teammate.
• Excellent drafting, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage risk effectively.
• Positive, adaptable mindset with a genuine desire to make an impact and grow within a high-performing legal team.
