RATE OF PAY/SALARY: $80,000 to $85,000 annually
WORK LOCATION(S): Cornwall, NY

General Purpose:
The System Administrator role will recognize the Senior System Engineer as the lead point
person for the other System Administrator(s). They will need to ensure the stable operation
of the in-house computer network, servers, and cloud infrastructure. This includes planning,
developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, optimization of all network and
server hardware, software, and communication links. The person will analyze and resolve
end user hardware and computer software problems in a timely and accurate fashion and
provide end user training where required.
Description of Duties:
- Possess a firm understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Have a working knowledge of HIPAA and PCI compliance.
- Assist with installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user
- workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Assist the Network team with network design and capacity planning.
- Possess excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for network
- resource administration, appropriate use, and disaster recovery.
- Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure computer,
- server, and software products and services.
- Display strong customer service communication skills and critical thinking.
- Ability to create documentation of local and hosted server environments, end user and
- IT administration guides, software implementations, desktop/laptop configurations,
- third-party applications.
- Assist with installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of server
- hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Assist with the installation and management of cloud technologies, including IaaS,
- SaaS, BaaS, and DRaaS solutions.
- Conduct research on software, hardware, and cloud products, services, protocols, and
- standards in support of procurements and development efforts.
- Management of all servers, including e-mail, print, and backup servers and their
- associated operating systems and software are functional and up to date.
- Assist managing security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, intrusion detection
- systems, attack surface reduction, and cloud security tools.
- Assist managing all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches,
- hubs, and UPSs.
- Administer all equipment, hardware and software upgrades.
- Ensure network connectivity of all workstations.
- Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component
- inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
- Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Perform server and security audits.
- Perform system backups and recovery.
- Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and
- reports.
- Occasional inspection of cables in floors and ceilings.
- Recommend, schedule, and perform improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
- Attend and participate in monthly department, all staff, and other required meetings.
- Show the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Be familiar with and adhere to all clinical, administrative, and general policies and
- procedures as outlined in the Cornerstone Policy and Procedure Manual and Employee
- Handbook.
- Maintain confidentiality of all aspects of Cornerstone including, but not limited to,
- patient confidentiality, financials, and employee relations.
- Participate in the planning and execution of system upgrades and migrations.
- Ability to lift 50lbs or above.
- Ability to work afterhours when necessary.
- Provide on-call remote support as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Five or more years of experience in a systems administrator role
- Certifications in CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network +, CompTIA Server+, CompTIA
- Security+
- Microsoft Defender Suite
- Microsoft Sentinel
- Microsoft Azure
- Microsoft Intune Endpoint Management
- Microsoft O365 Administration / Licensing
- Windows Server 2022
- SQL Server, SQL Reporting Services
- VMware vSphere
- IIS, JBOSS Web Servers
- Cloud hosted VoIP solutions
- Windows 10 and 11
- Experience with scripting in PowerShell, Python
- Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience with desktops, laptops, and servers
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Active Directory, Security Groups, Group Policy
- Objects, Azure, Intune, O365
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
