Come join the team at WeCare Centers!WeCare Centers at Foltsbrook Care Center is actively seeking a motivated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for our community in Herkimer, NY!
Key Responsibilities
- Work in collaboration with the OT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
- Consult with the rehabilitation team to choose effective activity programs.
- Coordinate occupational therapy with other types of therapeutic activities.
- Follow guidance of OTR/L in selecting therapy activities to fit Residents' needs and capabilities.
- Assist Residents in carrying out daily activities.
- Teach Residents how to use special equipment to assist with daily function.
- Report the Resident’s progress to the OTR/L.
- Responsibly and accurately document treatments and outcomes in rehab software.
- Assist in educating patients with home exercise programs and use of equipment.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of PA.
- Knowledge of principles, methods, and equipment used in occupational therapy.
