Chief Accountant
Tashkent | Uzbekistan (UZ) | Full-time | Permanent | Finance | Management / Executives
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of accounting and tax compliance, including the development of accounting policies and the chart of accounts.
- Prepare and submit timely monthly management reports to the head office.
- Implement and maintain robust controls to safeguard company assets, optimize resource utilization, and ensure strict financial discipline.
- Compile and file complete and accurate accounting, tax, and statistical reports for both senior management and relevant government authorities.
- Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring efficient document processing and adherence to all deadlines.
- Plan and execute regular inventory counts.
- Develop and recommend strategies to improve the organization's financial health and mitigate potential risks.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Chief Accountant or in a similar senior finance role.
- Languages: Native proficiency in Russian or Uzbek; professional working proficiency in English (Intermediate level or higher).
- Certification: A valid IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) certificate is required.
