
About this role
The Platform Product Manager is a technically fluent product manager who will drive the strategy, roadmap, release & adoption of core infrastructure platforms that power enterprise-scale applications and digital experiences.
They are responsible for aligning platform roadmaps with business goals, driving modernization and optimization of our platforms, and ensuring the platforms are well-governed, easy to consume, and fully operational. They will define platform vision, align stakeholders, operationalize platform capabilities, and ensure seamless adoption across engineering and product teams. They work closely with engineering, architecture, FinOps and SRE/operations teams to ensure the platform is reliable, cost-effective and delivers measurable business value.
A core focus of the role is enabling self-service consumption through an intuitive, well-documented, high-performing user experience. This position requires strong technical acumen, strategic thinking, user-centric design instincts, and the ability to influence stakeholders with a wide range of technical experience that are at all levels, including leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Define and maintain a clear, forward-looking product roadmap for infrastructure platforms including AI for Technology Operations, Cloud/Edge Platforms and Connectivity in alignment with enterprise priorities.
Develop and execute a strategy to operationalize platform capabilities, making them easy to discover, adopt, and integrate across product and engineering teams.
Drive a self‑service-first experience by delivering frictionless onboarding, automated provisioning, and reusable components—including templates, integrations, and APIs—that enable teams to adopt and use the platform with ease.
Drive platform adoption and ensure users derive value.
Drive continuous improvement of platform usability based on customer feedback, data, and adoption patterns.
Ensure platforms provide a great user experience by providing clear onboarding paths, high quality documentation and tutorials, integrated observability & usage insights and responsive support and feedback loops.
Prioritize features, enhancements, and technical investments balancing business value, user productivity, risk, engineering capacity and long-term architectural direction.
Maintain a strong understanding of platform architecture, data movement and platform constraints to inform roadmap decisions.
Monitor platform performance, health, reliability, adoption, and cost to ensure accountability for outcomes and inform roadmap adjustments.
Provide input into technical discussions and design reviews to guide informed platform choices.
Drive alignment across teams and facilitate technical and strategic decision-making.
Ensure releases meet governance expectations including security, compliance, operational readiness, cost management and alignment with standards.
Lead release communication by preparing clear platform updates, value propositions, enablement materials and stakeholder communications.
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively with audiences ranging from engineering teams to executives.
Present platform strategy, roadmap progress, risks, and KPIs in clear, concise narratives.
Establish credibility with senior leaders by framing platform decisions in terms of business outcomes, risk posture, and enterprise value.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical field.
15+ years of experience in platform product management, cloud/infrastructure engineering, observability, AI/ML or similar technical environments.
Proven product management skills, including customer and stakeholder research, strategic roadmap development, prioritization, translating business requirements to technical teams, user experience, product adoption and data-driven decision making.
Experience defining strategy for modern platforms architectures and hands-on experience with technologies enabling AI and ML Ops.
Technical experience with cloud-native architectures (e.g., Azure, GCP) and platforms such as Vertex AI, Agentspace or similar AI platforms
Understanding of responsible AI frameworks, compliance requirements, governance and risk mitigation in technical platforms
Knowledge of financial governance concepts (FinOps tagging, usage transparency, cost controls)
Experience working within Agile delivery teams and iterative product development
Demonstrated ability to influence and lead across business, engineering, architecture, security and compliance teams.
Exceptional written, verbal and storytelling communication skills with the ability to simplify and articulate complex technical concepts
Experience working in large, matrixed global technology environments and navigating ambiguity
Preferred Qualifications
Product management experience in infrastructure platforms and/or designing and launching AI agents capable of multi-step actions and tool use.
Hands-on software engineering or data science experience within a GenAI-focused team
Experience building or scaling self-service platforms for developer or operations teams.
Experience with observability tools and data ecosystems (Elastic, Grafana, GKE, pipelines, serverless telemetry)
