
About this role
XKIG is seeking an organized and efficient Staff Accountant with an eye for detail and performs their work with a high level of accuracy. With supervision, the Staff Accountant will perform a professional-level work product in various accounting functions for the Company. The right candidate must have strong Excel skills and a thorough understanding of accounting and financial principles. Our Staff Accountant must always be professional and courteous and can expect to communicate with other members of the accounting team and any parties with financial interest in the Company.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no direct reports.
Essential Functions:
- Update and maintain the general ledger
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations including intercompany accounts
- Analyze general ledger accounts, P&L and Balance Sheets
- Prepare recurring and adjusting journal entries and subledger adjustments and maintain adequate supporting schedules and documentation
- Contribute to continual process improvement identification and procedures
- Support the Accounting Management team with the month-end closing process and the annual financial audit
- May assist in posting cash applications and/or monitoring and applying unapplied customer payments
- Assist with special accounting projects as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Ability to read and analyze financial reports

- Well-organized and a self-starter
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Able to work independently and with a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Travel Requirements:
- Travel is not required
Required education and experience:
- At least two years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or auditing
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
Preferred education and experience:
- CPA preferred but not required

Position requires employee to be able to pass a background check and drug screen as required for this job.
