Metro Global Solution Center (MGSC) is internal solution partner for METRO, a €31.6 Billion international wholesaler with operations in more than 30 countries. The store network comprises a total of 623 stores in 21 countries, of which 522 offer out-of-store delivery (OOS), and 94 dedicated depots. In 12 countries, METRO runs only the delivery business by its delivery companies (Food Service Distribution, FSD).
HoReCa and Traders are core customer groups of METRO. The HoReCa section includes hotels, restaurants, catering companies as well as bars, cafés and canteen operators. The Traders section includes small grocery stores and kiosks. The majority of all customer groups are small and medium-sized enterprises as well as sole traders. METRO helps them manage their business challenges more effectively.
MGSC, location wise is present in Pune (India), Düsseldorf (Germany) and Szczecin (Poland). We provide HR, Finance, IT & Business, Branding, Strategy operations support to 31 countries, speak 24+ languages and process over 18,000 transactions a day. We are setting tomorrow’s standards for customer focus, digital solutions, and sustainable business models. For over 10 years, we have been providing services and solutions from our two locations in Pune and Szczecin. How you will make an impact?
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead strategic and complex initiatives within our digital transformation portfolio. In this role, you will bridge technology and business, delivering impactful outcomes while mentoring other project managers and promoting best practices. You’ll be instrumental in orchestrating project success across domains and contributing to our enterprise-wide digital agenda.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional, enterprise-level projects with a focus on digital products and transformation.
- Align projects with business strategy, ensuring high impact and value delivery.
- Define project scopes, business cases, and roadmaps in collaboration with domain owners and product teams.
- Build, coach, and guide cross-functional project teams toward successful delivery.
- Manage scope, schedules, risks, budgets, resources, and communications across multiple projects.
- Report on project and program status to senior stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Actively contribute to PMO governance by improving processes, standards, and toolsets.
- Facilitate executive reviews and lead critical project discussions with business and technology leaders.
- Act as an escalation point for complex delivery issues, proactively managing resolutions.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability in project delivery.
Qualifications
- Overall, 8+ years of experience in Project Management.
- 5+ years of experience in the technology industry.
- Familiar with Software Product Management paradigm & Agile,
- Very assertive communication skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent organizational and technical skills.
- Good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong attention to details and technicalities.
- Ability to set clear goals to achieve consistently high quality results.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2, Scrum Master) is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Administration, or a related field.
- Very good fluency in English (written and verbal).
