About this role

Job Description

A part of global technology organization Tieto, MentorMate creates durable technical solutions that deliver digital transformation at scale by blending strategic insights and thoughtful design with brilliant engineering. With mature and established practices in enterprise web and mobile development, quality engineering, technical architecture, human-centered design, cloud, DevOps, data, and analytics, the company provides its people with the opportunity to work on impactful, global projects for recognizable brands.

We’re looking to hire a Senior Atlassian Solution Architect to join the leading provider of digital health solutions within the health tech business. In this role, you will architect, administer, and scale Jira Cloud and Confluence Cloud environments with an automation-first approach. You will streamline software product development and IT service workflows, while collaborating across teams to drive operational efficiency, improve traceability, and enable scalable, compliant processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and govern Jira and Confluence Cloud automation strategies using native automation and ScriptRunner to reduce manual effort, enforce lifecycle consistency, and improve data quality

  • Build and optimize Jira Cloud automations for end-to-end issue lifecycles, approvals, SLAs, ITSM workflows, and cross-project coordination with strong performance and auditability

  • Implement advanced ScriptRunner solutions including JQL extensions, scripted fields, REST actions, validations, and bulk operations with proper error handling and governance

  • Automate Confluence space provisioning, content lifecycles, metadata rollups, and synchronization with Jira Service Management to maintain living documentation

  • Integrate Jira and Confluence with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and test management tools (Xray/Zephyr) to support CI/CD, test execution, release readiness, and traceability

  • Align automation and configurations with the full product development lifecycle, from planning and delivery through release, incident management, and postmortems

  • Establish automation governance, change management, security controls, and access models, ensuring compliance, least-privilege access, and scalability

  • Build extensible integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, and Atlassian Marketplace tools while avoiding over-customization

  • Drive operational excellence through runbooks, monitoring, KPIs, and continuous optimization of automations

  • Enable teams through documentation, training, and coaching, and lead automation-aware migrations and scaling initiatives

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, QA, ITSM, and security stakeholders to deliver resilient, compliant solutions

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 10+ years in SaaS and 5+ years in enterprise consulting or delivery, with hands-on Jira/Confluence Cloud administration

  • Expert in Jira Cloud Automation: advanced JQL, branching, smart values, web requests, global/multi-project rules, and rate-limit-aware designs

  • Advanced ScriptRunner for Cloud experience: scripted fields, REST integrations, validations, and complex automation orchestration

  • Confluence Cloud automation expertise: space provisioning, templates/blueprints, content lifecycle, metadata rollups, and JSM knowledge base integration

  • Proficient with DevOps toolchain integrations: GitHub/GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Xray/Zephyr for CI/CD, release orchestration, and test traceability

  • Strong understanding of software lifecycle (Scrum/Kanban, code review, CI/CD, test management, release/change processes) and encoding these workflows into automation

  • Skilled in security and compliance: Atlassian Access, SSO/SAML, SCIM, audit logging, scoped tokens, secure secrets, and data residency considerations

  • Comfortable with REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and iPaaS for extensible integrations

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and adoption enablement skills, including training, demos, and measurable outcomes

  • Excellent spoken and written English language skills
