About the Position
We are looking for a Traffic Coordinator to join us at our Edmonton Branch! This position will work closely with our established Contractors and new clients to service needs of Traffic control in Edmonton and Northern Alberta. Close coordination with peers such as Supervisors, Coordinators, and Dispatchers in order to plan and effectively schedule Traffic Accommodations. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining client relations, verifying effective Traffic control Plans and implementation of such on roadway. As well as scheduling flag personnel and coordinating transportation demands for equipment needs on a normal and emergency basis.
Responsibilities
- Verify effective traffic control plans for implementation
- Assist with ensuring all safety processes and procedures are met for Technicians in the field.
- Maintain customer relations via phone and email.
- Suggest equipment and supplies to meet customer needs.
- Demonstrate the ability to follow operational procedures.
- Strong internal and external customer service orientation.
- Maintain the dispatch board / schedule for flag and customer jobs.
- Contact customers if there are scheduling delays.
- Work with outsource company to fill customer orders for flagging, invoicing match billed hours to the customer and are completed in a timely manner.
- Assist with delivery/returns, flagging and jobs in the field as required.
- On-Call rotation a possibility.
- Strong coordination with dispatch and supervisors
- Take incoming call and support new customers
- Customer prequalification HSE
- Assist CSP’s with questions regarding customer requests for job set ups.
- Cover dispatch when they are on vacation, day’s off and breaks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3-5 Years Traffic control Experience in the Field, Urban and Rural
- Strong customer service relations

Reliable, punctual and able to work with little supervision

Availability to work overtime as required

Adhere to our safety program fully including passing a drug/alcohol test

Experience with Microsoft office 365 operation system

Knowledge of the rental shop, install, traffic tech, dispatch and coordinator roles an asset
- Ability to remain calm, work efficiently & effectively in a multitasking high stress environment
- Superior time management skills
- Know the city well, ability to read & understand maps and good route planning abilities

Completed the LEAN course an asset
