Job Description
The Role
- The Commercial Finance Analyst will play a key role in supporting the strategic finance business partnering function across all revenue‑generating areas, including Commercial, Analytics, Consulting, and Events. This position is responsible for delivering high‑quality financial analysis, supporting commercial decision‑making, and ensuring robust financial performance management. The role is part of a Sofia‑based analyst team, reporting directly to the Head of Business Partnering – Commercial.
Principal Accountabilities
Financial Analysis & Insight
- Deliver timely and accurate financial analysis, scenario modelling, and recommendations to support strategic initiatives and growth opportunities.
- Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning processes for all revenue‑generating functions.
Performance Reporting
- Assist in the end‑to‑end financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal and external standards.
- Monitor and analyze revenue and cost performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with the wider finance team to streamline and automate reporting processes, leveraging best practices and technology.
- Reflect the move to ‘SaaS metrics’ to help build sales and revenue driver models using new MI data to provide insights into causal variance analysis
Finance Partnering
- Serve as a finance partner to leaders across Commercial, Analytics, Consulting, and Marketing functions providing commercial insight and challenge to drive business performance.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams to understand business drivers and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
Automation & Digital Tools
Purpose: Increase speed‑to‑insight, reduce manual work, and improve decision quality by standardising on core platforms and automations across Commercial Finance.
Core platforms cover the following areas and experience of these systems will be helpful to the application
- Anaplan (FP&A & Planning)
- Power BI (MI / Dashboards)
- NetSuite (Source Ledger)
- Salesforce & Pipeline MI
- Snowflake / Data Warehouse
Automation & Process Improvement
- Data hygiene & controls: define and run quality checks (duplicate IDs, missing dimensions, timing lags); implement exception reports and alerting for material variances before monthly close.
- Self‑service enablement: document “how‑to” guides and quick‑start pages for key dashboards; create one‑page metric definitions to reduce ad‑hoc queries and improve adoption.
- Change & decommission: identify manual reports suitable for decommission; maintain a backlog of automation candidates with estimated time saved and expected impact.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior finance leadership in Uk and Sofia alongside cross‑finance and functional teams.
- Support audit and compliance requirements, maintaining and improving internal controls.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, driven, and have a passion to be part of a fast-paced, successful team. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly.
Although the reporting line is directly to the Head of Business Partnering in the UK, there will be a local management line through the Finance Hub in Sofia, along with regular involvement with other members of Commercial finance and local Financial Control teams.
Gaining business insight from the relevant business functions to assist in optimising reporting formats and outputs will also be important as guided by the direct Management.
- Part‑qualified or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred.
- 1-2 year experience in a commercial finance, FP&A, or business partnering role
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights clearly.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a collaborative, proactive approach.
- Experience with finance transformation, automation, or process improvement projects is highly desirable.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Anaplan) is a plus.
- Working knowledge of NetSuite (saved searches, custom reports) and Salesforce data structures; familiarity with Snowflake is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
