We’re seeking a motivated Business Data Scientist I to support advanced analytics, data modeling, and business intelligence initiatives within a leading energy organization. Position Overview
The Business Data Scientist I will design and implement scalable data models, automate data pipelines, and deliver insights that improve business operations. You’ll collaborate across teams to translate business needs into data-driven solutions and help identify opportunities for efficiency and growth.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and support business-intelligence reporting and analytical model development.

Build scalable, automated processes for large-scale data analyses, model development, validation, and implementation.

Streamline data visualization and reporting tools to make analyses accessible and actionable.

Assist in developing descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive statistical models to solve business problems.

Work with large data sets in hybrid-cloud environments using AI, ML, and advanced statistical techniques.

Partner with market-intelligence and cross-functional teams to develop and refine data solutions.

Perform additional duties as required to support business needs.
Requirements
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business , or a related field.

2+ years of experience supporting database development, analytics, or working in the natural-gas/energy industry.

Strong experience with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate).

Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Curiosity for process improvement and data-driven innovation.
Preferred Skills

Experience with AI/ML modeling, BI tools, and cloud-based data solutions .

Familiarity with Python, R, SQL , or similar data-analysis languages.

Understanding of data architecture and ETL best practices .
