About this role

Job Expectations

Build your career and Australia’s future.

Not many people can say they are working on building Australia’s future. With us you’ll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there’s equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.

A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Technical Product Owner reporting to the Executive Manager DevSecOps Digital Services and CRM.

A bit about your role

As the Technical Product Owner – Customer and Products DSO, you will play a central role in shaping how nbn’s business partners and internal teams experience our digital platforms. You will guide the features, functionality, and lifecycle of key integration points, drawing together insights from across the organisation to ensure our platforms remain intuitive, reliable, and aligned with our “Simple & Digital” mindset. Your work will bring clarity to complex requirements, translating them into prioritised enhancements that support seamless delivery and long-term capability uplift.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, data specialists, and partner‑facing teams to ensure our digital solutions are integrated, accessible, and genuinely useful. You will nurture strong relationships across SEO, RSP Partner Experience, and broader business units, creating shared goals and fostering a sense of collective ownership. You will also develop training and knowledge materials that empower partners to digitise their interactions with nbn, helping us become an easier organisation to work with. Your leadership in data governance, quality, and innovation will ensure our platforms remain secure, future‑focused, and ready to support the evolving needs of our partners and the communities they serve.

A bit about you

If this role resonates with you, you will likely bring deep experience as a Technical Product Owner, with a strong track record delivering and managing software applications in complex environments. You understand digital platforms, portals, and data‑driven systems, and you are comfortable guiding technical teams while keeping the needs of partners and end users at the heart of your decisions. You are thoughtful and confident in navigating competing priorities, using your judgement to determine when to seek guidance and when to lead with conviction.

You are collaborative by nature and skilled at building trust with senior stakeholders, technical experts, and external partners. You communicate with clarity and empathy, creating space for diverse perspectives while keeping momentum toward shared outcomes. Your experience in digital transformation, cloud, API, and data capabilities enables you to recognise opportunities for improvement and innovation, including the use of emerging technologies to accelerate value. With your steady, inclusive approach, you will help shape digital experiences that are simple, secure, and genuinely supportive of nbn’s ambition to be an easier partner to do business with.
