About the opportunity

The Learning Innovation Office (LIO) plays a pivotal role in advancing the Business School’s education agenda. It brings together contemporary education design, media and digital capability, and a strong focus on an outstanding student experience to support the development of scalable, high-impact programs for modern learners across a portfolio of future-focused initiatives.

We are seeking a Digital Learning Designer to join a small, collaborative team. In this role, you will work closely with team members and liaise with colleagues across LIO and the Business School, co-designing student-centred, technology-enhanced learning experiences.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • support Business School academics by co-designing, developing and implementing interactive digital learning experiences which are engaging and pedagogically sound for both blended and online delivery

  • work closely with Business School academics and other LIO team members to design and embed interactive digital learning experiences in a technology-enabled environment

  • integrate interactive digital learning experiences in targeted curriculum areas to meet the teaching needs of the Business School and University educational strategies

  • support Business School academics’ blended, online and hybrid delivery using the University’s Learning Management System (Canvas) and associated plugins

  • undertake ongoing exploration of new technologies, innovations and developments to enhance interactive digital learning experiences and student-centred approaches.

About you

  • tertiary qualification (Undergraduate minimum)

  • professional experience working as a Learning Designer in a tertiary education environment or equivalent (higher education, secondary education, vocational or equivalent)

  • experience in adapting, designing and/or co-developing content for technology- enabled learning environments

  • demonstrated experience in using interactive tools and plug-ins to create, build and enhance educational delivery

  • ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work

  • agile problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise workload during busy periods.
