What we are looking for :

The Production Systems Engineer is responsible for optimising manufacturing systems and processes, supporting ERP (Epicor) rollout and data accuracy, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across production. Using Lean principles and strong analytical capability, the role delivers measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, quality, and operational performance. Reporting to our Engineering Manager, you will be based onsite at our HQ in Scoresby.

What the role entails :

  • Assist with the implementation, configuration, and rollout of a new ERP (Epicor) system
  • Support data migration, validation, and clean-up from legacy systems
  • Assist with staff training and development of ERP work instructions and guides
  • Assist with process mapping, standardisation, and documentation
  • Analyse ERP and operational data to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
  • Implement design and process amendments for manufacturing changes
  • Create the bill of materials for all new products and maintain data to ensure accuracy of materials and labour and workflow
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures. Contribute to Research and Design and standardise and improve product manufacturing processes
  • Integrate safety, quality and efficiency improvements to product designs and manufacturing processes
  • Assist with identifying, implementing and monitoring overall cost improvements within the manufacturing process
  • Implementing Process / Continuous improvement activities
  • Use Lean manufacturing techniques to eliminate or reduce production waste.
  • Evaluate current manufacturing processes to improve efficiencies
  • Develop and present, detailed proposals including timelines, cost and the desired results for approval
  • Provide management with progress reports of projects current and planned

We are looking for someone who has :

  • Demonstrated experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment, with Epicor experience highly regarded
  • Degree qualification - Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or Manufacturing) with process engineering experience preferable
  • Strong design-for-manufacture mindset, translating product designs into efficient, repeatable production
  • Hands-on experience in factory or production environments, working closely with operators and manufacturing teams
