Job Description
Denny’s Canada is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join our dynamic marketing team. With a predominantly production focus, the Junior Graphic Designer will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identities of the Denny’s brand in Canada. We are seeking a detailed-oriented individual to support the creation, adaptation, and finalization of visual assets across print and digital channels. This role focuses on executing established designs efficiently and accurately, ensuring brand consistency, technical precision, and on-time delivery.
Responsibilities:
• Produce and adapt graphic assets based on existing creative concepts.
• Resize, reformat, and localize assets for multiple platforms, formats, and regions.
• Prepare final artwork for print and digital production, ensuring files meet technical specifications.
• Follow brand guidelines for all brands and maintain a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines in all design work.
• Collaborate with external agencies, vendors, printers, and freelancers when necessary to achieve project goals.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy, alignment, colour, typography, and layout.
• Troubleshoot production issues and recommend solutions.
• Update templates and production files as needed.
• Maintain, organize, and update file structures, project files, version control, and digital assets on the shared server.
• Collaborate with creative, marketing, and production teams to meet deadlines.
• Use project management tools to organize, prioritize, report on, and collaborate on design projects.
• Estimating time required to complete work, working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies to ensure the company’s visual communications remain innovative and competitive.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in a production-focused graphic design role.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Strong understanding of print production processes (prepress, color management, file preparation).
• Strong understanding of digital asset requirements (email, social media, web banners)
• Proficient at following strict file naming conventions (MacOS and Windows).
• Ability to follow brand guidelines precisely.
• Portfolio demonstrating your production expertise in a wide range of digital and print formats.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills.
