These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions.In indirect tax at PwC, you will focus value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), sales tax and other indirect taxes. We are looking to recruit a minimum of 2 individuals at Senior Associate level with experience of Tax (ideally Tax Depreciation/Capital Allowances) and are keen to hear from people who are passionate about delivery and innovation, who would like to be focused on bringing value to our clients as part of our fast-growing UK Capital Allowances practice.
The role will be based in our newly set up Operate function in South Africa and successful candidates will work remotely with all regions/departments of the UK Capital Allowances team. You will play a key role in the delivery of Capital Allowances claims, building core tax, data and consulting skills in the process.

We are looking to recruit individuals at Associate level with an interest in Tax and are keen to hear from people who are passionate about delivery and innovation, who would like to be focused on bringing value to our clients as part of our fast-growing UK Capital Allowances practice.

Experience required:
• Previous experience in a tax, audit or finance-related role
• Awareness of UK Capital Allowances or Tax Depreciation in South Africa
Responsibilities of role:
• Supporting the delivery of Capital Allowances claims for UK clients
• Preparing and analysing fixed asset data sets, identifying qualifying expenditure
• Drafting core sections of reports and memos for review
• Assisting in the collation and organisation of documentation to support claims
• Liaising with senior team members to clarify requirements and follow through on feedback
• Ensuring high quality outputs, delivered to agreed timescales
• Engaging in training and knowledge-sharing to build Capital Allowances knowledge and skills
Desirable skill sets include:
• Strong attention to detail and confidence working with numbers and structured data
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A proactive mindset and willingness to learn and take ownership of your development
• Ability to work independently and collaborate virtually as part of a team
• Competent use of Microsoft Excel and experience of using AI
