Overall, Purpose:
Drive and enhance Maaden’s financial performance by analyzing financial results, budgets, forecasts, variances, and market trends. Provide high‑quality financial insights to support strategic and operational decisions.

 

Key Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics; CFA preferred.
  • ~8 years relevant experience; international exposure and M&A experience advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem‑solving capability.
  • Advanced financial modeling, Excel, and data analysis skills.

 

Core Responsibilities

 

Financial Operations

  • Produce accurate and timely P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reporting for BM&NM BU.
  • Oversee GL management, monthly closing, and asset register processes.
  • Conduct financial analysis, variance reviews, investment appraisal, and market research.
  • Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and dashboards.
  • Ensure effective internal controls, policy compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Prepare management and board‑level reports and performance insights.

Business & Strategic Support

  • Provide expert financial guidance to senior stakeholders.
  • Evaluate business performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support digitalization initiatives and automation of reporting.
  • Contribute to investment strategy and risk management.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Transfer expertise, mentor others, and support capability development.
  • Drive continuous improvement and contribute to functional strategy.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders (Finance, Strategy, Investors, Government, Affiliates, etc.).
  • Maintain deep knowledge of market conditions, financial instruments, and industry trends.

 

Technical & Functional Competencies

  • Advanced financial modeling and data analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of finance principles, accounting rules, taxation, fiscal policies, capital markets, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Understanding of financial products, bond markets, commercial paper, and loan covenants.
  • Expert Excel and data‑management tool proficiency.
