
About this role
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Architecture & Design
- Design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures using GCP services.
- Define cloud adoption strategies, reference architectures, and best practices tailored to GCP.
- Evaluate and select appropriate GCP services based on business and technical requirements.
Cloud Migration Planning
- Lead end-to-end cloud migration initiatives from on-premises to GCP.
- Conduct risk assessments, impact analysis, and readiness evaluations.
- Develop migration roadmaps, wave plans, and cutover strategies.
Governance & Compliance
- Implement security controls, IAM policies, and data protection strategies within GCP.
- Maintain audit readiness and support compliance reporting.
CI/CD & DevOps Integration
- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, including workflow automation and approval gates.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Promote Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform.
Performance & Cost Optimization
- Monitor cloud performance and optimize resource utilization across GCP services.
- Implement cost control strategies and conduct regular tuning and rightsizing.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Document architectural decisions, cloud configurations, and operational processes.
- Stay current with GCP updates, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
- Contribute to reusable assets, templates, and accelerators.
Client Engagement & Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Lead workshops, presentations, and architecture reviews with clients and partners.
- Mentor junior architects and engineers across cloud initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with GCP services (e.g., Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage).
- Strong expertise in On-Prem environment
- Strong expertise in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with GitHub CI/CD workflows and approval processes.
- Deep understanding of cloud security, compliance standards, and governance frameworks.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare) is a plus.

- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive consensus.
- Strong documentation and presentation skills.
- Client-focused with a consultative approach.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
- Familiarity with cloud migration tools (e.g., Migrate for Compute Engine).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Knowledge of FinOps practices and cloud cost management tools.
