About this role

The “EU” Vehicle CyberSecurity team works in close collaboration with vehicle & software engineers to ensure a "security by design" approach in product development. We guide vehicle programs teams and ensure that all regulatory requirements for Product Cybersecurity are met, so that vehicles can be type approved. The Dunton, Niehl and Chennai based team works in close co-operation with global product cyber security teams and has lead responsibility for several UNECE R155 regulated vehicle programs. We promote consideration of security aspects and own the relationship to regional program groups. 

 

You will be joining a vibrant and diverse team of 9 program and entity engineers and be part of an environment that is committed to quality and places emphasis on equity, personal and professional development.

Key roles and responsibilities:

You will be joining the team in the function of a “program engineer”. In this capacity you will:

  • With guidance, manage the co-ordination and of cybersecurity deliverables for vehicle programs assigned to you.

  • Be responsible for tracking and validating cyber security artefacts at key program milestones.

  • Drive communication with entity engineers, test teams and other groups within the vehicle cyber security team

  • Support the communication with the program stakeholder group, including report out/presentation to the management team. 

You would also be expected to:

  • Actively contribute to continuous process improvement by developing expertise in one segment, formulating actionable ideas and coaching others in execution.

  • Manage your own learning by staying abreast of industry developments, identifying learning opportunities and completing relevant training.

  • Grasp of basic cyber security principles and best practices

 

The ideal candidate would have previous experience in Vehicle Cyber-Security or product development and may have knowledge/awareness of:

  • PD workflows and tools (e.g. GPDS, VSEM, JIRA, JAMA, FEDE)

  • Vehicle product development life cycles

  • Awareness of vehicle-based security protocols

  • software delivery lifecycles, ISP, and Security and Controls, security design and secure design techniques

  • Regulatory framework for type approval and associated ISO Standards (ISO21434)
