Senior Backend Developer
We are developing and maintaining payment solutions and cloud backends to support payments. We’re now scaling out and rolling out new features to prepare for a broader European expansion. This is a senior developer role with architectural responsibilities. You will:- Write, deploy, and maintain production-grade backend code
- Shape the architecture of distributed systems that prioritize consistency, resilience, and low-latency processing
- Solve for reliability and scalability in a real-world, high-integrity transaction environment
- Participate in operating and improving our system in production
- Collaborate closely with teammates to make pragmatic, forward-looking decisions
- Work closely with stakeholders across product, infrastructure, and operations
About the Team
We are a new team ramping up its operations and would love you to join us and shape who we are. Our purpose is to develop and maintain applications and infrastructure for processing payments and cloud backends.We operate with a high degree of autonomy—empowering you to take ownership, experiment, and grow your expertise over time. The payment domain is deep and nuanced, offering plenty of opportunities to expand your technical and domain knowledge as you go.This role is based in Espoo, Finland and follows a hybrid model. Candidates should be located within commuting distance of the office.What We Offer

What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who’s curious, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative. You enjoy working with others, sharing knowledge, and taking ownership of your work — and you'll find a team that values the same.Our stack includes: TypeScript, Rust, Python, AWS (with a focus on serverless), MySQL, DynamoDB, Containers, Linux Prior knowledge about card payments and information security are optional but considered a plus.You don’t need to already know everything — we value strong fundamentals, a willingness to learn, step outside your comfort zone, and the ability to adapt quickly. Many of us have picked up parts of the stack along the way, and we’ll support you in doing the same.About the Recruitment Process
