In this role, you'll:


You will be working as part of the Sydney Metro Legal team sitting within Legal, Audit & Integrity Branch.


 
Reporting to the Director Legal Regulatory, you will be a senior lawyer in the team undertaking a diverse range of legal work covering regulatory and corporate commercial legal advice to all our projects including statutory functions, non-project procurement, safety, IT, trademarks, delegations, GIPA, PIPPA, and corporate commercial agreements.

 

You’ll work in a collegiate, high performing team environment providing solutions focussed independent advice to support the achievement of organisational outcomes. 

 

This is a fixed term opportunity until 30 September 2027

About you


• You are a seasoned lawyer who holds a practising certificate in NSW.


• You will have a minimum of 3-5 years post qualifications experience with significant experience in, or advising to, government.


• You are an experienced lawyer with advanced written and verbal communication skills, able to convey legal concepts clearly and succinctly.


• You will have experience handling complex matters with multiple stakeholders.


• You will be an experienced drafter, negotiator and communicator working closely with clients to drive practical outcomes.


• You will have a passion for law and enjoy working on a diverse range of matters. You will also enjoy working and collaborating as part of a hardworking and friendly team, including mentoring, and developing junior lawyers of the team.


• You will have outstanding communication skills and be able to successfully manage stakeholders and work with the broader legal team to ensure Sydney Metro’s objectives are met overall (regardless of practice divisions).
